Kayak Coaches

Hours: Casual, as and when required.
Salary: £13.70 per hour

Epic's Watersport & Outdoor Education service is now recruiting kayak coaches to join our unique Watersport & Outdoor Education service which is situated in the heart of London. The service area is a specialist water sports and outdoor education provision for children and young people aged 9-19 and includes two watersports and outdoor education facilities and the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.

The positions available are for 'sessional work' on an as and when basis to support our varied youth and community-based kayaking programmes. Coaching sessions available will range from term time, evening, weekends and school holidays, so if you are looking for some additional hours in an outdoor education setting this could be for you!

We are looking for kayak coaches that have experience of working with young people and adults in a variety of different settings, and most importantly with the ability to positively engage our service users. With excellent communication skills you will also have the ability to develop positive relationships with young people, as well as effective partnerships with schools, parents and the voluntary and community sector.

Multi-Sport Coaches

Hours: Various (see below)
2 x 13 hours per week
1 x 6 hours per week
1 x 5 hours per week

Salary: £11.01 per hour

Epic Sport provides a range of exciting community sports programmes for children and young people aged 8-19 in Kensington & Chelsea. With a particular focus on increasing participation in sport locally, and delivering a range of coach education and training programmes to assist young people’s employment opportunities, EPIC Sport is one of the leading providers of sport to young people in the Royal Borough. Central to EPIC Sport delivery is a regular weekly programme of community sports coaching, holiday programmes, disability sport, school sport leagues and competitions, sports events (such as London Youth Games and the London Mini Marathon), sports traineeships, and a sports coaching bursary scheme.

PSHCE Teacher (part-time)

Hours: 16 Per Week
Salary: GLPC Scale 5: Range B - Points 22-25 £23,148 - £25,068 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • To plan and deliver the PSHCE curriculum
  • To coordinate external delivery partners
  • To deliver work related learning
  • To support learners to find work experience
  • To collaborate with other school staff on Theme Days
  • To ensure that intended destinations, post-16 offers and leavers’ destinations are recorded on IYSS

General Requirements

  • Working in line with the ‘Epic Way’ integrated delivery model
  • Attending regular supervision with line manager
  • Regular use of Performance Hub
  • Representing Epic CiC at meetings as required

TYS Careers Adviser

Hours:  28 Per Week
Salary: JNC point 7-10 £16,176.16 (pro rata)

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver high quality Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG), both 1:1 and group work, within schools, colleges and other education providers and as part of work to minimise numbers who are NEET.
  • To develop relevant programmes of group-work for clients in a variety of settings
  • To ensure performance complies with the RBKC contract specification
  • To participate in tracking activities related to NEET and unknown young people

General Requirements

  • Working in line with the ‘Epic Way’ integrated delivery model
  • Attending regular supervision with line manager
  • Maintaining good attendance levels
  • Substantial experience of working with young people who are disaffected and face considerable barriers to learning

Senior Youth Worker at the Lancaster Centre

Hours:  36 Per Week
Salary: JNC YCW pt 19-22 £30,165 - £32,565 (Inclusive of London Weighting)

General Requirements

Epic CIC is looking for a highly motivated and dynamic Senior Youth Worker to manage one of our flagship open access youth provisions. Your role will be to supervise a dynamic multidisciplinary team comprised of youth support workers, targeted support, sports coaches and volunteers and devise a diverse and engaging programme of activities, including after school, evening, weekend and holiday provision, based on the personal and social development needs of young people 9 - 19 yrs (and up to 25 yrs for young people with LLDD) who live and/or are schooled within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

As Senior Youth Worker you will ensure that the centre is health and safety compliant, including all aspects of premises management, and where issues arise work alongside the Lancaster Centre Facilities and Business Support Manager and EPIC CICs management team to ensure that they are resolved quickly and effectively. In addition to this you will have responsibility for some aspects of budget management.

Business Support Officer (Maternity Cover - 9 months)

  • To process and record all Accreditation onto IYSS and the AQA Gateway system
  • To process, issue and invoice AQA certification internally and externally
  • To verify and sign off submitted AQA documents
  • To raise and update invoices
  • To manage petty cash for the Achievement Team
  • To assume the role of super user for the IYSS database.
  • To carry out the responsibilities of the post at all times with due regard to Equal Opportunities, the Data Protection Act and the maintenance of confidentiality and service user choice.
