About the role:

  • Lead all NEET tracking activities in RBKC in order to reduce the number of NEET and unknown young people in the borough
  • Monitor performance against the RBKC contract and Department for Education requirements
  • Use IYSS to monitor caseload and intervention targets
  • Coordinate the home visit and tracking schedules
  • Facilitate the monthly NEET panel
  • Coordinate a termly Careers Forum
  • Report to strategic NEET partners
  • Line manage frontline staff
  • Conduct monthly supervision meetings and regular staff meetings
  • Carry out observations, appraisals and performance reviews as required
  • Manage sickness absence and support team members to do their jobs effectively
  • Promote a range of services and projects for young people in vulnerable groups and support Epic projects to achieve all targets
  • Complete management information and other monitoring returns as required
  • Ensure that practise is inclusive and that different needs are taken into account to include race, culture, language, sexuality, gender and disability

About you:

  • Substantial experience of NEET and Not Known Tracking and reduction
  • Level 4 Careers/IAG (essential) and Level 6/7 Careers/IAG (desirable)
  • Experience of September Guarantee Tracking, managing a team of frontline practitioners and working with learning provides, employers and voluntary agencies to establish suitable pathways for young people and advocate on their behalf
  • Knowledge of education structures, courses and qualifications, labour market and career pathways for young people and health and safety and child protection policies
  • The ability to coordinate and manage events
